Some activities to enjoy while visiting Canyon Lake

The Guadalupe River in Canyon Lake Texas is a paradise in the middle of the Texas Hill Country. This little slice of paradise is a beautiful place to visit. Discover the Texas Hill Country and the beautiful scenery.The lower river begins at the outlet of Canyon Lake, near New Braunfels. The section between Canyon Dam and New Braunfels is a popular destination for tubing, rafting, kayaking, and canoeing. You can float the majestic Guadalupe River and soak up the flawless Hill Country sunshine or on clear summer nights, enjoy a camp out and a glimpse of the wondrous display of stars.

CANYON LAKE PARKS AND TRAILS - US Army Corps of Engineers Managed

Potters Creek Park is the closest to CLCC. It is located on the north shore of Canyon Lake and has a free fishing pier and boat ramp.
Canyon Park is closed during fall and winter months. Opens April 1, 2011. Inside is almost 9 miles of hiking and biking trail is free and open all year! Hancock area.

Overlook Park is located at Canyon Dam; open all year 7am - sunset. Walk across the dam. Great view of area from the top!
Guadalupe River Park is located just below Canyon Dam, free and open all year. The only public trail along the Guadalupe.

Old Hancock Trail is a free trail open all year along Canyon Lake on the north side. About 3.5 miles open to hiking, biking and equestrian - horses! See above - Texas Trail Riding Company.

Comal Park is a day park and is open during the summer only. Great swim beaches, picnic sites, and fossil searching.
